NOMURA GROUP has implemented a Whistleblowing Channel for proactively and promptly addressing fraudulent, illegal, and anti-ethical conducts and our correction system to conduct appropriate investigation on the whistleblowing and impose strict actions upon all illegal conducts.
The Whistleblowing Channel is set up at an outside law firm for reporting fraudulent, illegal, and anti-ethical conducts by the employees of the NOMURA GROUP, and is available for directors, officers, employees of NOMURA GROUP, and to business partners and other third parties (including contract worker, part time worker, temporary worker and intern currently enrolled or had been enrolled within 1 year as of reporting).
In order to conduct an appropriate investigation on the whistleblowing and impose actions or corrections to the illegal conducts, the existence and substance of the whistleblowing will be transmitted to the Whistleblowing Channel set up at a Japanese law firm and such information will be further provided to and shared with NOMURA GROUP. Therefore, all personal information contained in the whistleblowing will be transferred to Japan and making the whistleblowing itself will be deemed as a consent to such transfer of personal information.
We have no tolerance for any form of retaliation against a whistleblower and will ensure elimination of disadvantageous treatment of whistleblowers.
